Scholarship holders from Ukraine selected

The selection committee of the Prometheus Program has decided to award the scholarships to study in the Prometehus Program on Transition Studies at the EuroCollege, University of Tartu in Spring semester 2006 to the following students from Ukraine:

Mariia Matsepa, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

Roman Nitsovich, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

Mykola Zamikula, Donetsk National University

We highly appreciated great interest from Ukraine towards the program.We received 30 applications from outstanding students of the following universities: Academy of Customs of Ukraine, Chernivitsi National University, Donetsk National University, Kharkiv Humanitarian University PUA, Kharkiv National University, Kyiv National T. Shevchenko University, Luhansk Academy of International Affairs, Lviv National Polytechnic University, National Taras Shevchenko Pedagogical University (Luhansk), National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, National University of Odessa, National University of Ostroh Academy, Open International University, the Prykarpatski Vasyl Stefanyuk National University, Tavrida National V. I. Vernandskiy University, Ukrainian Catholic University.

Members of the selection committee represented the different institutions: University of Tartu (EuroCollege, Faculty of Economics, Department of Political Science), Estonian Foreign Policy Institute and Open Estonia Foundation.

The scholarships were awarded in cooperation with Open Estonia Foundation and Lennart Meri Foundation.
