Civil society key to human resource development

Speakers at a two-day international conference, ‘Human Security and Social Development; Issues and Perspectives’, were of the view that civil society organisations can help to improve human resource development, irrespective of the system of government. The two-day conference was organised by the Human Resources Development Network (HRDN) and brought together eminent scholars, practitioners, business and civil society leaders, policymakers, senior government officials and representatives of donor agencies from Pakistan and abroad to share their views on the subject.
